A boy named Bud is motherless and his father left him so he sets off to find him.
Bud first stays outside the library until he finds how long it will take to get where he thinks his dad is. He finds out that it will take 25 hours to get to where his dad's band concert is, in Grand Rapids.
So he sets off at night and walks all the way to Owosso. Then, a car saw him walking all alone and pulled over, Bud and the man made great friends and the man took him all the way to Grand rapids. In Grand Rapids Bud sees a poster of his dad's band that was playing tonight, so Bud attands it and meets his daddy for the first time.

I like Bud, he's a smart handsome boy who doesnt have much money but he's a real friend to everyone.
Bud may not have a family at the moment, but he was sure determend to find his father.

I think Bud will start to stay with his father and his band from now on because that is where he belongs. :)
